| When I Met these VIPs..! |
| After
coming to USA, I was missing motherland so much each day. I
read all the Tamil books I had with me and started developing
a more intense love for Tamil. That is when I heard that
writer genius Jayakanthan is coming near our place and we can
go and meet him to ask any questions we want!
We ,me and my husband ,reached the play ground where the hall was situated so early that we doubted if we reached the wrong place. After sometime, we began to see Tamil faces arriving at the scene - they were happy to see our faces and we were relieved too. Yabba..Inge thaan ..making sure of the venue! Finally JK himself arrived at the scene and sat on the stage. I could not believe my eyes and the fact that it is he himself there. Then he spoke on the topic "People who affected his life" .After that started the Kelvi-Bathil Neram. I mustered courage and asked questions which came to my mind. He answered all in his own style. We all in the audience enjoyed listening to his answers. After the session, we took photos with the great JK. It was thrilling to think again and again that we are in America with the great Tamil writer in the same place..aaaha! Here is a snap with JK, Binny and me!
